Panama SHB Boquete Finca Bajo Mono
Bajo Mono Estate is a fairly young farm with coffee trees just entering its more productive years, so the potential is very promising. It has the perfect characteristics of a coffee farm, immersed in the Volcan Baru slopes under a unique micro-climate it´s coffee will continue to grow and produce exceptional coffees. Boquete is a valley on the eastern side of Volcan Baru (the highest in Panama). The valley floor is about 1000 meters above sea level, and most of the coffee is grown on the slopes surrounding the valley, going up towards the volcano and into the central cordillera (north & east side of the valley). Boquete is also known for its incredible biodiversity, especially in flowering plants. Bajo Mono grows Caturra and Catuai varietals at altitudes between 4400 to 5400 feet. The beans are washed and mechanically dried.
The cup is balanced with good body, acidity and sweetness with notes of brown sugar, grapes and red wine.
