Description
La Joya is a beautiful farm, owned by producer Pedro Echeverria. The farm is located at an altitude between 5115 and 6270 feet on the slopes of the Acatenango Volcano, facing the city of Antigua. This farm became a coffee plantation in the early 1970s. This coffee, comprised of Bourbon and Caturra varietals, is very unique and special due to the combination of sunlight, rainfall, and soil. The coffee is wet milled and patio dried in Finca Capetillo, which is owned by the same family. APCA is a spanish acronym that stands for “genuine Antigua coffee producers association”.
The cup is has notes of almond, strawberry, orange, grapefruit, honey and caramel.
